About the Web Master

Tom Sutton

I joined the Liverpool Fire Brigade in 1962 which amalgamated with six local fire brigades and eventually became the Merseyside Fire Brigade in 1974. I served for 34 years and ended my career as senior fire prevention officer. For eighteen years I specialised in Fire Safety and retired in 1995. When I retired I remained a member of the Merseyside Fire Liaison Panel. Looking for ways of promoting the fire safety message the MFLP decided to create a web site and as I was interested in the internet I became the Web Master. We have used this method as one vehicle to get a fire safety message across to the people of Merseyside and hopefully the rest of the country.
